PRE-BIG ROW DINNER HONORS CRAIG AMERKHANIAN

The Rowing Association held a pre-Big Row Dinner with former coach Craig Amerkhanian as guest of honor. A packed room of Bay Area alums from seven decades of Stanford Rowing were treated to toasts and roasts as Craig’s former oarsmen expressed their gratitude for what Craig meant to them as a coach and mentor. As a Thank You, oarsmen from the classes of ‘01–’22, Craig’s years, got on the phone and raised the money to launch a boat in his honor.

Amerkhanian capped the evening in pure Craig style recalling numerous victories over Cal and Washington while capturing the essence of the Stanford Rowing Journey that he shaped over nineteen years.
