2025 V. BROWN, YALE, & SYRACUSE (MEN)
RESULTS
Stanford Men vs. Brown, Yale, and Syracuse Saturday and Sunday, April 12–13 – Redwood Shores
A great weekend of racing vs. Brown, Yale, and Syracuse was defined by wins against No. 3 Brown and No. 8 Syracuse in the 1V, and a remarkable re-tooling of a young 2V 8+ that featured a Saturday evening lineup overhaul, a renewed sense of purpose, and a come-from-behind win vs. a strong Syracuse 2V on Sunday morning.
Stanford's time of 5:34.6 in the 1V8+ race against Syracuse bettered the team’s season-best time of 5:35.1 set in the 2025 season opener on February 28 against Drexel. It was a close race throughout, with Stanford maintaining its advantage it gained in the first 500m – one of the tighter wire-to-wire races of the weekend.
Overall, the Stanford 1V8+ is 7-2 this season and the Cardinal 2V8+ is 6-3. As they showed this weekend, this is clearly an improved and dangerous Stanford team. With a lineup featuring more underclassmen than most of their peers, the ceiling for this group continues to rise.
Next up, the now No. 5 Cardinal will settle into a few uninterrupted weeks of training before taking on No. 1 Cal in the Big Row on May 3 at Redwood Shores.
